July 1 -15 The high point of 2021 - see July adventure.
July 16 Found my main computer to have failed - took a month to repair - possible excuse for my late posting on this website.
July 21 Harry's eye doctor appointment - she says his cataracts will need surgery soon.
July 22 Appointment with heart doctor for both of us - all is well except that the doctor (Dr. Curtis) is retiring, so we will be assigned to a different doctor soon.
July 30 Willardene has her first appointment with Dr. Shelby - a Chiropractor specializing in deep muscle massage to see if that will help her leg.
Aug 2 Willardene had a spinal injection (epidural) for her spinal spurs.
Aug 6 Willardene's second appointment with Dr. Shelby - seems to help more than anything else we have tried.
Aug 10 Harry's monthly housing authority board meeting.
Aug 12 Now apparent Willardene's spinal injection didn't take.
Aug 13 Continuing weekly treatments with Dr. Shelby.
Aug 17 Less than satisfying consultation with the orthopedic doctor - trying to get re-scheduled for the spinal injection.
Aug 20 Fourth visit to Dr. Shelby - helping some.
Aug 22 Harry gave the message at Cedar Christian Church, then returned in the evening for an ice cream social.
Aug 24 NWKAAA board and council meeting - spent much of the day in Hays.
Aug 25 Back to Hays for Willardene to receive another spinal injection.
Aug 27 Continuing weekly visits to Dr. Shelby.
Aug 30 Some indication the injection is taking affect.
Sep 4 - 5 Dewey and Ellen, Willard and Tiffany here for Labor Day weekend Installed new door on front porch, finished some painting.
Sep 6 Labor Day - everyone returned home for work on the 7th.
Sep 15 Willardene's visit with the pain clinic resulted in x-rays of her left hip - bad, scheduled to see the orthopedic surgeon the next day.
Sep 16 Met with the orthopedic surgeon from Colorado - he ordered a CT scan to get a 3-dimensional view of the hip joint.
Sep 23 Harry's dentist appointment didn't find any problems.
Sep 30 Started trip to Tyler, Tx.
Oct 1 - 9 Visiting the Tyler area - see trip report.
Oct 10 Harry gave the morning message at the Cedar Christian Church.
Oct 14 Willardene had a CT scan of her left hip.
Oct 17 Willardene scheduled to see the orthopedic surgeon on Oct 26.
Oct 23 Sermon ready for services at Cedar tomorrow, finishing web site update.
Oct 26 Visit with Dr. Sarin - still awaiting input from review of CT scan.
Oct 28 Harry has eye Dr. appointment - no new problems found.
Nov 2 Election day - voted for school board members and city commissioner.
Nov 10 First of three contacts with Dr. Sarin this month - still unable to schedule Willardene for hip surgery.
Nov 21 Church Thanksgiving pot luck dinner,
Nov 22 Thanksgiving dinner with the residents of Valley View apartments.
Nov. 25 Thanksgiving Day - lunch at IHOP in Hays.
Nov 26 Our Christmas letter is now printed - Willardene working to get notes written and envelops addressed.
Dec 2 Harry's appointment with Dr. Williams - A1C down to 6.7, great!
Dec 9 Appointment for both of us with the skin Dr. - Willardene had a spot removed, awaiting lab results.
Dec 13 Annual family Christmas letter mailed.
Dec 16 Report from the Dr. - no problem with the spot Willardene had removed.
Dec 22 Just after dark the Methodist Church carolers paid us a visit and sang Christmas carols for us - what a treat!
Dec 25 Beautiful Christmas Day - just the two of us, so we went to Hays IHOP for lunch.
Dec 30 Back to Hays for a Harry's appointment with the urologist and last shopping day of 2021.
Dec 31 Turning colder, watched some of the Time Square merry making and count down to 2022.
